This blog contains the scribblings of a man attempting to find himself through life's many adventures. It will likely include rants, observations, poems, prose, pictures and perhaps even the occasional doodle. Continue reading at your own risk, as I won't guarantee that the spelling will be accurate, the grammar will be perfect, that you will enjoy let alone like or agree with what you read...I can't even guarantee any of that to myself. Good luck to us all...

Day 5 - The ride to the Badlands
Date: 08/13/2007
My General Condition: Very hot, very tired and very excited...
General Observations: South Dakota goes on forever...it makes coming across PA a walk in the park. It was hot and windy until I came over the hills and across the big river (not sure the name) and then I hit a WALL of oven heat...blowing at me at sustained 40 mile an hours winds
Starting Point: Mason City, Iowa
Ending Point: KOA Badlands Nat'l Park
Miles Ridden: 528
General Weather: Hotter than 'HELL and Windy'. I found a thermometer in the shade at a rest area and it said 107 at 1:45 this morning.
Ride Conditions: Very hard...it is late an I am really tired...I'll finish in the morning.

Starting Point: KOA in Elkhart, IN
Ending Point: Mason City, Iowa
Miles Ridden: 569
General Weather: Cool and Cloudy in the morning then Hot and sunny in the afternoon, then I spent the last 2 hours trying to out run the huge storm coming in form the southwest of Iowa.
Ride Conditions: Good
