This blog contains the scribblings of a man attempting to find himself through life's many adventures. It will likely include rants, observations, poems, prose, pictures and perhaps even the occasional doodle. Continue reading at your own risk, as I won't guarantee that the spelling will be accurate, the grammar will be perfect, that you will enjoy let alone like or agree with what you read...I can't even guarantee any of that to myself. Good luck to us all...

Dropped the bike for the first time...I had forgotten about the fesh fesh like sand in GA...and there is alot of it on the last road and driveway of my sister Carly. Instead standing through the turn into her driveway...I sat downand alowed down to turn...this put too much weight on the front tirw so when I turned it dug in...I faught to keep it off from falling to the left by putting my foot down...and I flipped on the other side. My hip hurts a bit today...will keep an eye on it.

One day before the ride
Date: 07/09/2009
My General Condition: Excited about the Start of the ride.
General Observations: Most of the subsequent messages won't follow this format as i will be updating the blog via SMS messaging. All of my gear has been packed and ready to go for two days. I am just sitting on my hands awaiting the start of the trip.
Starting Point: Work
Ending Point: Work
Miles Ridden: 0
General Weather: Overcast
Ride Conditions: OK
Interesting Events: Just getting ready. Had a panic attack today when it really sunk in that I didn't have a GPS I could use and the maps for Florida are crap. Think I am over it...I have a compass...I can buy maps in FL...it'll be OK!

New Bike is in!
Well...Last Friday (March 7th, 2008) I picked up the new beemer. It's a 2008 BMW R 1200 GS, Namibia Orange!
Date: March 7th, 2008
My General Condition: Drooling
General Observations: Smoother Ride than I could have imagined.
Starting Point: Gill, MA
Ending Point: Home
Miles Ridden: 37
General Weather: 52 degrees at the Start and 41 degrees at the end and cloudy
Ride Conditions: Mostly dry roads, the occasional puddle
Interesting Events: Backs of my legs got wet from the few little puddles...hmmm...will have to look into a resolution to that. Think it has something to do with the open design in the frame...believe there are body parts to add on which, keep you dry.

The Blog is changing
Date: 02/11/08
My General Condition: Great
General Observations: After my big trip I realized that it was basically just a scouting trip cause I didn't see all I wanted and I didn't have the right bike to really do the trip the way I would have wanted. Don't mis-understand I loved the trip...its just that is showed me that I want to do those types of trips allot. Therefore I started looking at a replacement bike. After 5 months of research, test rides and apparently driving my wife nuts...we agreed last night that I need to just trade in my Goose for a Beemer. I need something that will be realiable...parts are plentiful...will last for many long years to come...is big enough (sturdy) for 2 up...The Beemer won all the categories...
Starting Point: Home
Ending Point: Home
Miles Ridden: 0
General Weather: 13Degrees and snow on the ground
Ride Conditions: Horrible
Interesting Events: Decided on my next bike...BMW R1200 GS
